This project allows the younger students to be free about creating,
and opens up the idea of abstract art.
Each student is given a blank piece of paper and a piece of string approximately
a foot and a half long.
They drop the string onto the paper.
Wherever it lands, they trace with crayon, then building into oil pastels
and finally regular pastel.
